Topping off its 40th anniversary celebrations, Metro Security GB (PLC) is celebrating its success in AI (Acquisition International)’s end-of-year 2018 Global Excellence Awards, in which the company has been selected as winner in the category ‘UK’s Most Trusted Security Solutions’.
The Global Excellence Awards are organised by UK-based publisher AI Global Media, whose AI monthly magazine circulates to 108,000 readers in over 170 countries and regularly attracts editorial submissions from some of the biggest players on the corporate landscape, including KPMG, EY, PwC and Deloitte.
Those recognised in the Global Excellence Awards have been handpicked by AI Magazine, based purely on the comprehensive analysis and research undertaken by the wider AI group – as it describes: “This proven approach ensures that we award on merit – not popularity – and recognise the very best in business, from a single office firm to an international conglomerate; we award those that are succeeding in their endeavours, innovating, growing and improving.”
Metro Security’s latest ‘gong’ follows its double win earlier in 2018, when it scooped two categories in AI’s annual Business Excellence Awards – Best Security Systems Provider – UK, and the Award for Excellence in Residential & Commercial Security Solutions – UK.
Metro has also gained recognition in a number of other similar schemes over the past five years including the Havering Business Awards (two wins in 2013 and 2015), the Retail Fraud Awards 2015 (Highly Commended), Teach Secondary magazine’s 2015 Technology + Innovation Awards (Runner-up), and the 2018 Retail Systems Awards (‘Retail Security Initiative of the Year’ category finalist for the innovative Metro Analytic Retail Solution).
“We’ve been privileged to have won a number of awards in recent years and 2018 marks our 40th year in business, serving residential and commercial customers alike,” says Metro’s MD Trevor Wallace. “Our core business is installing, maintaining and monitoring security, fire and building management/control systems, while in recent years we’ve also diversified into the eduction and fuel forecourt sectors using similar technology such as CCTV cameras, working in conjunction with in-house developed sophisticated software to help protect and manage these sites too.
“Meanwhile, we’ve also recently launched the Metro Analytic Retail System (M.A.R.S), a retail software solution that improves security, maximises loss prevention, assists store management, and improves marketing opportunities. M.A.R.S benefits the owners and operators of retail operations ranging from small shops right the way through to High St chains with multiple branches trading around the country.”
