Hospitals

The Heart Hospital

The Heart Hospital is one of the UK’s main cardiac centres of excellence and is part of the University College London Hospitals. Their requirements for keeping their patients safe and secure are their utmost priority.

The need to secure key sensitive areas within their buildings and oversee the movement of staff and personnel is paramount and this is achieved using an intelligent on line Access System controlled centrally by hospital security staff and monitored by digital CCTV systems in the key areas of the Hospital.

The Trust chose Metro Security in order to provide quality service and professional management of their security requirements for the installation and maintenance of their Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarms for their buildings.

If I think of security, I think Metro because I have full confidence in the company and know that my worries are their concerns and any highlighted issues will be dealt with efficiently and with professionalism leading to an affordable solution.

Service Station & Forecourt

Ron Perry- A19 Services & Test and Tune

Leading sector publication Forecourt Trader has published news on the successful trial of an exciting and innovative security system, with a range of ‘added value’ operational benefits, installed by Metro Security.

This is the first Tokheim Eye monitoring system to go live in the UK and Metro Security’s installation at the site near Hartlepool last September has drawn warm praise from Ron Perry, owner of two service stations located on the A19.

As Forecourt Trader’s February issue reports, two dome cameras positioned above cashier positions are linked to Ron’s office computer and smartphone, providing him with a unique insight into the potential uses of a fully expanded system.

The images and data I’ve seen have been invaluable in revealing the operational management improvements we can make,” he tells the magazine’s February issue.

Museums

The RAF Museum

The Royal Air Force Museum London, commonly known as RAF Museum, is a museum located on the former Hendon Aerodrome, dedicated to the history of aviation and the British Royal Air Force. The museum comprises of five exhibition halls, Milestones of Flight, The Bomber Hall, Historic Hangers, The Battle of Britain Hall and The Graham-White Factory.

Metro Security initially started work on additions to existing Intruder Alarm systems in April 2010 protecting new areas and display cases. The system then went on to have High Security Beams installed in the Art Gallery protecting valuable pieces of Art and Memorabilia. In August 2010 , Metro Security were awarded the maintenance contract for all the Intruder Alarm systems on site.

In November 2010 Metro started work on installing Intruder Alarm and CCTV equipment in the new Watchtower building, meanwhile discussions were progressing with ideas for a new Control Room system that would enable users more control and integration with existing security systems. Metro Security were able to design a “bespoke “ CCTV Control Room with a new Video Wall utilising the latest technology using “ADDER DIGITAL “ high end recording equipment. As Metro work closely with ADDER DIGITAL, we were able to have specific software written for the new system with the ability to produce “upgrades” when required.

In February 2011 Metro Security were awarded the maintenance contract for the entire CCTV system , also the Control Room system had been approved.
