Since 1978 Metro has been a South-east London based company, which has grown year on year to become one of the major suppliers of “off the shelve” and “bespoke” intelligent security services for domestic premises, large retail groups, industrial and forecourts and one of the leading providers of electronic security solutions operating across the UK.

We pride ourselves with keeping the family company values and on our innovative approach to meeting our customers’ needs, from comprehensive end-to-end solutions to the procurement of bundled or individual products and services.

Metro Security’s Romford, Essex HQ is complemented by our wholly owned subsidiary Argus Fire and Security, based in Wigan. Boasting similar NSI Gold approval, Argus’ operational pedigree includes a successful 30+-year trading record as an installation specialist in security services and fire safety systems.

Standards

Our surveyors and engineers are trained to the relevant standards for fire, under BS5839, and our quality systems are certified under ISO9001. We hold NSI Gold status for intruder, access and CCTV. Our intruder systems comply with EN50131 and PD6662 as well as police specification DD243.

Our highly skilled technicians have many years of expertise. Most of them have been with the company for 15+ years. They are fully trained and their work complies with the relevant industry and British Standards/ISO specifications. Expert at working in the most demanding environments, they offer a professional and friendly service at all times.

We constantly look at new ways of making your security investment more productive. Our teams regularly update and create new applications that offer huge potential for enhanced business performance.

UK Development

Metro also actively invests in development of innovative systems and software using our in-house UK R&D resources. This policy of continual investment in the latest, bespoke solutions to customers’ needs, led to our 2019 Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the Innovation category, for the Metro Analytic Retail Solution (M.A.R.S).

Not only do we design, install and maintain security systems with our own in-house “UK” development team, which works alongside Adder digital.
This partnership means Metro security can provide 100% UK developed bespoke security products that can also integrate with other systems
