Intruder alarms must comply with multiple European, UK, local authority and police standards and specifications, which frequently change. They must also address any health and safety issues and satisfy the needs of insurance companies. Once an alarm system is in place, it should be flexible enough to support additional features such as access controls, smoke alarms or fire detection systems.
